The Plan: 2006-2031
The objective of the North Pueblo plan is to stimulate growth and investment.
In 2010, PURA entered into a Cooperation Agreement with City of Pueblo to further the plan. Specifically, through the construction of the Dillon Interchange Project projected to drive new business in this area.
Dillon Interchange project
- $13.5 million project
- PURA participated by issuing $4.5 million in bonds to be serviced by TIF and Colorado Department of Transportation Faster Funds that are intended for roadway safety, bridge repair and expanded transit.
Monumental Artwork
In 2016 PURA supported the City’s efforts in the installation of two monumental art pieces on the Dillon Interchange to identify the bridge as the “Gateway to the Southwest”. Using TIF, PURA contributed $50,000 to finance a one-piece installation.
